Sikongo Independence Day

As Zambia prepares to celebrate its Independence Day on 24th October, we look forward to a remarkable moment where creativity, talent and the spirit of our nation come together.

It is a day that reminds us of the strength, freedom and potential that exists within Zambia—and our artists are an important part of that story.

As the Project Manager of this esteemed platform, I am pleased to inform the general public that the development of our web-based platform is almost complete.

What began as an idea to create something meaningful for artists is steadily becoming a platform designed to give creators more control, visibility and opportunities to reach the audience they deserve.

Although funding challenges have contributed to some delays, our commitment remains unchanged. We have chosen to remain focused on the original scope of the project rather than rushing to expand beyond what we can currently sustain.

The journey may take longer, but the vision remains the same.

Our goal is to provide an independent platform where artists can build their profiles, manage their music, monitor views and downloads, access meaningful statistics, and have greater control over the content they publish.

Artists will also have the freedom to manage and remove content from their own profiles.

We are building with one purpose in mind—to create a platform that brings together the tools artists need to promote their work, grow their audience and showcase their talent.

As we approach Independence Day, we are reminded that independence is not only about where we came from, but also about what we have the courage to build for the future.

The platform is almost ready. The vision is still alive. And the journey to giving Zambian artists a stronger digital voice continues.
