Bobby East & Ric Hassani - Understatement feat. Frank Ro

Zambian Hip Hop King Bobby East has teamed up with Nigerian Afro Soul superstar Ric Hassani and Zambia's own R&B hitmaker Frank Ro on a brand new masterpiece titled "Understatement".

Released today 23rd October 2026 under XYZ Entertainment and produced by WittyBeatz, this cross border collaboration is already being called one of the biggest love songs of the year.

On "Understatement", Bobby East proves why he is one of the most consistent artists in Zambia, delivering smooth, heartfelt rap verses laced with poetic love lines.

Ric Hassani brings his signature soulful magic that made him famous across Africa, while Frank Ro adds that distinct Zambian vocal touch that completes the record.

With a runtime of 4 minutes 42 seconds, the song blends Hip Hop, Afro Soul and R&B into a timeless love anthem.

The title says it all. The trio sings "If I tell you I love you, it's an understatement", expressing that true love is too deep for words to fully capture.

It's a dedication to that one special person who means more than just "I love you". Relatable, emotional and perfect for weddings, anniversaries and late night vibes.

The official music video, directed by K Blaze and ERT. Shot at Jungle Hive with a cinematic African Royalty concept, Bobby East appears in a white suit with feathered headpiece, Ric Hassani in a regal black tuxedo with leopard detailing, both vying for the heart of a beautiful African queen adorned in traditional jewelry. It's a visual masterpiece.
